State of the art facilities

IT Carlow _Avionics

The facilities at IT Carlow include a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre which houses the Institute’s Library, over 1,200 learner stations, computer and information technology facilities, TV studios and multi-media laboratories.

You wil have FREE access to the Internet throughout the academic year and access to the 30,000 books, reports and working papers contained in our Library.

Our purpose-built laboratories, workshops and studios will provide you with the infrastructure necessary to support your learning.

Dedicated Non-EU International Office

We are very mindful of the fact that many of our students will not have spent time outside of their home country before. Our dedicated non-EU Office is open throughout the year to help students settle upon their arrival and furthermore with registration, accommodation and any other issues that they face during their time in Ireland.

Orientation Program

At the start of the academic year, you will be invited to an Information Day specifically arranged for International Students. Here you will meet IT Carlow staff members who will advise you about some important support services available to you at the college including:

Campus Facilities

As a student at IT Carlow you will benefit from our wide range of shops, restaurants, Starbucks coffee shop and Bank on-campus. The Institute also has a Health Centre on campus, which is run by a registered nurse. A Doctor attends the campus regularly each week and is available to all students at a greatly reduced rate.

The Institute’s Accommodation Officer is dedicated to assisting you in finding accommodation by providing advice and helpful tips and publishing accommodation lists. The cost of student accommodation in Carlow is significantly cheaper than the equivalent in cities such as Dublin, Cork, Galway and Waterford. In addition students living in Carlow avoid daily travel expenses due to the campus being located within walking distance of most local amenities

Sports and Recreation

There are a wide variety of student clubs and societies which International students can participate. If you are interested in sports, you will be impressed with our brand new sports and training venues and our Fitness Suite. Over 25 sports are catered for and there are opportunities for elite performers to further their sporting careers as well as students who just want to play for fun. A wide range of interesting and fun activities, clubs and societies are organised if your interests lie in activities other than sport.
